In 2023, the Waikiki Yacht Club clubhouse was listed on the Hawaiʻi Register of Historic Places. For generations it has been part of life on the Ala Wai.
Its junior sailing program has been open to every keiki since 1947, and today the clubhouse hosts school sailing and paddling teams, ocean-safety classes, and community gatherings on the water.
